영어 단어마다 한가지 뜻만 있다면 좋겠는데, 똑같은 단어라도 용도에 따라 달라지니 어렵죠.

오늘은 Table 얘기입니다.

1,"Can we table that?"

(=Can we discuss it later?)

(그거 나중에 얘기해도 될까요?)

2,"Let's table that conversation until tomorrow"

(그 대화는 내일까지 미루지요)

3,"Let's table this till we know more"

(이건 우리가 좀더 알때까지 보류합시다)

4,"Why don't we table this for now. We have more pressing matters to deal with"

(이건 일단 보류하는게 어때요. 우리는 지금 더 급한 일이 있으니)

5,"Let's hold off on that discussion for a moment"

(그 얘기는 잠시 보류하지요)
